When We Come Back, We'll Be Roaring Lambs!

When our National Youth Gathering Team left on July 22 for their trip to Florida, they left a message in chalk on the church driveway: “When we come back, we’ll be roaring lambs!” We are Jesus’ little lambs; He is our Good Shepherd, leading us to eternal life. Jesus is the Lion of Judah, the Great King, who conquers the enemies of sin, death, and the devil. When we speak the Word of Christ, we are lambs who can roar like lions.
Our team of youth is coming back ready to roar with God’s Word. Come on Sunday, August 1, when following the 9 AM worship service, the team will tell everyone about their trip to Florida, what the National Gathering was like, and how they have become roaring lambs. You’ll find out how the congregation can support our youth as they continue to serve Christ.
You can learn more about the National Youth Gathering on the Web at nyg.lcms.org.

Our RYMS Reporter Gives the Scoop on Noah's Ark

Reporting for the RYMS: Kati
On Friday, June 25, a busload of 37 young teens took a 6-hour round trip down to Wisconsin Dells for a fun filled day in Noah’s Ark. About half of the bus was filled with kids from Redeemer Lutheran and the other half was from the community. At about 7:00 AM kids started to arrive for this fun filled day. We all boarded the bus at 7:15 AM and were off in a few minutes. We arrived at the water park at about 11:00 AM.
After entering the park we had a fun journey finding a "meeting spot" for the day. With our adult leader Josh Werner leading the way, map in hand, we only got lost a couple of times. After we had dropped off all our stuff, we all took off to enjoy some rides. Some went off to Jungle Rapids; some to Flash Flood, others to StingRay, and even some took the dare to go on Point of No Return.
At around 2:00 PM we all came together again for our lunch break, provided by the South Wisconsin District of the Missouri Synod. After multiple hours of fun riding we came to a close at 6:00 PM when we left the park. We took our dinner break at the McDonald's Lodge in the city. While eating among a moose head and a bear eating fries (all statues), we talked amongst our peers about our fun day. After dinner we climbed back on the bus for the 3 hour trip home and arrived at church around 10:30 PM.
We'd like to thank all of the participants who came along and a special thanks to our adult leaders.
