Travis is the Big Winner of Wacky Wild Winter Olympics???
On Saturday February 21st, 12 youth and 7 adults joined in the snow, sun, and fun of Wacky Wild Winter Olympics. We started with a game of football, slowed down by the snow, but which ended in dramatic fashion with Travis' winning catch in the end zone. Next we headed out to try some bowling--with softballs and toy blocks. There was more snowball throwing than bowling, I think.
After that, we gathered around the fire pit for hot chocolate and a devotion based on Ecclesiastes 3, when we remembered that there is a time for everything, even fun and goofing off in the snow. God is always with us.
Then it was back out to the playing field for a game of baseball played with a tennis racquet and a tennis ball. Again, Travis was the big man stepping up to the plate, sending Casey way back into the field to fetch the ball. Everyone got in on the game, even Jessica!
Finally, we ended with the Snowshoe Races, won, I think handily by Mike. Although, Nathan claimed he only lost because his snowshoe fell off.
Thanks to everyone who made it a great afternoon of fun. Thanks to Chad, Carissa, Jason, Jeff, Jerri, Craig, Paula, Don, and Nancy. Thanks to our great location, Tee Time Golf Center, 1122 Hwy 310 (Hwy. 310 and Cty. Rd. B).

Super Bowl Party News!
Super Bowl Party/Anti-Super Bowl Party
We had 46 youth (31 RYMS, 14 Friends) come hang out to either watch football, commercials, or just play games. While we had to yell at the TV during halftime, telling the performers that they were not living as Christ would have us live, we still had a great time. It was an awesome way for us to spend time together and meet new friends. Many youth made their own name brick on the wall of the RYMS Room. We also had our own halftime announcements for the Wacky Wild Olympics and Shantytown (see calendar).
Thank you to everyone who helped make our evening such a success!! Thanks to Mike, Kyle, Chad, Jeff, Keith, Greg, Jennifer, Sally, and all the parents who sent snacks/food (especially Nancy who made the Gridiron Cake (Hersey's Kisses vs. Rolos).
